Leonie_van_Drooge

Leonie van Drooge is a senior science policy researcher, focusing on the organization and evaluation of societal impact. She has been involved in FP7 SIAMPI (2009-2011) and since 2017 in COST action ENRESSH and H2020 ACCELERATE (impact of research infrastructures). She is a member of the Dutch working group for the national Standard Evaluation Protocol (SEP). And she was co-responsible for the organisation of the session on impact at the Dutch Presidency Conference on Open Science (2016).

Leonie prefers to work with and for stakeholders, such as research performing organizations, research funding organizations and ministries. She applies participative research methods and approaches, such as the joint development of theories of change, and focus groups, open space and world cafe. She used the latter method for the design of the 2015 Dutch National Science Agenda conference Science 4 Society.

Leonie works at the Dutch Rathenau Institute; its mission is to contribute to current, coming and urgent science and innovation policy issues; to shed light and propose options.
