Mario_Steyer

Mario Steyer, born 1982 in Vienna, is policy advisor at the federal ministry for transport, innovation and technology (BMVIT). He is also member of the board of the Austrian Platform for Research and Technology Policy Evaluation.

From 2010 on he has been working in his current position, where his main focus lies on the implementation of the Austrian Federal Budget Law, concerning methods and processes of evaluation and monitoring. He is coordinating the instrument of “endowed professorships” and working on and supporting several programme- and institutional evaluations in the field of research, technology and innovation, e.g. as coordinator for the evaluation of the Austrian funding agencies AWS and FFG. Since 2017 he is teaching “evaluation theory” at the university of applied sciences in Vienna.
